Public participation in the protection of cultural heritage is very important.Since the tremendous amount of work on the protection of cultural heritage in China，the former mode of depending on the government only is becoming more and more unreasonable，we have to ask and encourage social forces to support and join the protection of cultural heritage.At present，the main forms of public participation in the protection of cultural heritage are setting up cultural entities，donation，and work as volunteers.Although there are still many problems in the public participation in cultural heritage，we have responsibility to help and encourage social forces to join the protection of cultural heritage by but policy innovation.
