American internet governance showed different scopes and depth in 2016. This paper summarized the internet governance in the US from the perspectives of the government，business and international relations. Besides，this paper assessed the future trends of Trump administration in the field of internet governance. Findings showed that Trump administration had a very negative view of American cyber security. In order to consolidate American dominance in cyberspace，Trump desperately wanted to advance the American power of cyber defense and offense. Other moves can be observed including the implementation of modernizing antiquated IT infrastructure across the Federal Government，recruiting more domestic network talents，highlighting “America first” in the global internet governance and dealing with the so-called cyber-attacks from China and Russia differently.
