Haze monitoring is basic for its preventing. In recent years，China has made great progress in the field of haze monitoring. Relating monitoring laws and regulations was improved continuously，monitoring standards was revised and promoted，monitoring technology made rapid progress，detailed monitoring was promoted，and monitoring service market also achieved preliminary performance. To achieve the objectives established by ecological environment monitoring network construction program and to speed up the haze monitoring capacity-building，some measures need to be taken from the aspects of monitoring technology，monitoring mechanism and monitoring management. Five pieces of advice have been suggested，including enlarging monitoring technology R&D investment，clarify the monitoring authority and the responsibility of expenditure，constructing inter-department coordinating mechanism，promoting the development of monitoring services market，and improving the socialization of monitoring results.
