The transition between kindergarten education and primary school education lasts from the graduation from kindergarten to the whole process of the first grade of primary school.Graduating from kindergarten and entering primary school is a major event in one's childhood，marking the start of a brand-new stage and an important transition in one's whole life.Compared with kindergarten，primary schools are different in terms of learning environment，life environment，curriculum provision，social and school environment and relationship between students.The children of kindergarten and primary school differ from each other in their physical and mental development characteristics.Therefore，each stage in the process of the transition between kindergarten education and primary school education is correlated but also mutually independent.This paper first analyzes the preschool education and its functions on the basis of the transition between kindergarten education and primary school education；then it expounds on the current status and existing problems of preschool education from the perspectives of class time provision，learning habit，general requirements，cultivation of ability of daily living and reading abilities；finally，on the basis of the relevant theories and practices，this paper proposes the relevant suggestions and countermeasures for the transition between kindergarten education and primary school education.
