Though facing with rising uncertainties at home and abroad，the foreign trade in Guangzhou demonstrated better performance above the national and provincial level due to the city's resilience. Generally speaking，the trade structure of Guangzhou was further optimized，and trading partners kept being diversified. Foreign enterprises and state-owned enterprises growth rates declined as private enterprises appeared to be more dynamic. Both general trade and processing trade are decreasing，while so new emerging industries stimulated Guangzhou's foreign trade.Year 2017 will see deepening structural reform of the supply front. Standing at the new starting point and with the support of upgrading policies，Guangzhou is forming new competitive advantages. Structural optimization and market diversification will continue，foreign direct investment will keep growing，a processing trade upgrade will be carried further，and foreign trade as a whole will improve with steady pace above the national average level.
