There are many homeless and begging people in Guangzhou，coming from different provinces of China because of diverse reasons. As the number of this group grows，mere material assistances cannot let them give up the homeless-and-begging life. Because a certain proportion of homeless and begging people are young and middle-aged people，employment assistance to them，as a kind of social work interventions，can support them earn their own and integrate into society again. Based on the practice of Guangzhou，this paper analyzes the status quo of the employment assistance to street begging people and tries to explore the mode of employment assistance to homeless beggars.
