The digital economy not only brings opportunities to get rid of global economic recession but also creates new impetus for sustained growth. With ICT development and its integration with traditional industries，digital technologies will bring about all-dimensional fundamental disruptions to the foundation，environment，input，output and sustainability of the innovative economic development. At present，the digital technology innovation process of BRICS countries has just started，enjoying huge potential and space for development. BRICS countries should enhance the capacity for the digital technology development and advance pragmatic cooperation in priority areas of ICT enabling technology innovation，ICT infrastructure，potential of digital economy development，e-government development and network security management cooperation，so as to inject new impetus to BRICS economic growth and drive strong and sustainable global economic recovery.
