In 2016，the public opinions concerning agriculture，rural Areas and farmers in Guangdong province displayed a “broad U-shape” development，with agricultural supply-side structural reform becoming the focus of public opinions. Agricultural production and market，rural land，agricultural product qualityand safety were the top 3 topics of public attention. Precision poverty alleviation also caught the public attention and hot events included overstocked pineapples in Xuwen County，water-injected mutton in Zhuhai City，overstocked winter melon in Yingde City，among others. Looking into 2017，agricultural supply-side structural reform will continue to be focused by the public opinions，while more attention will be attracted by the green development. Public attention pressure will continue on agricultural product quality and safety，together with the dull sale of some agricultural products.
