On May 10，2016，the enforcement officers of the Food and Drug Administration of Liunan District of Liuzhou City of Guangxi Autonomous Region discovered that Red Sun Dairy Farm of Liunan District was suspected to be engaged in illegal operations including production without permit，invalid production permit，labelling with fake date of production etc. This dairy farm was involved in supply of dairy beverages to a number of local kindergartens. After the media coverage of this incident by major local press，the citizens of Liuzhou was widely concerned. Meanwhile，a number of children showed the symptoms of vomiting and haemorrhage，etc. A chain reaction was triggered with increasing volume of public opinions. On May 24，Liuzhou Municipal Government held a press conference to release investigation outcomes，and the companies involved were punished. After that，the public attention cooled down gradually.
