<<In 2016,the volume of public opinions concerning development-oriented poverty alleviation doubled on the previous year. The campaign on poverty alleviation achieved initial success,with positive public opinions on the performance in the first year of the 13th Five Year Plan period. Highlights were observed in development-oriented poverty alleviation in various localities,while the public reviewed the experiences of success from multiple perspectives. In some places,ill-implemented poverty alleviation efforts and corruption problems were spotted,giving rise to heated public discussions on supervision mechanism. From the perspective of public opinions communication characteristics,the mainstream press is the guiding forces for public opinions on poverty alleviation work,while the poverty groups are prone to be stirred up by public opinions. There’s still a long way to go for poverty alleviation.
