In 2016，the volume of public opinions concerning rural land went upward on the previous year. Top-level deployment of rural land tenure reform and the reform practices of different localities were positively covered by media reports，with active public comments and suggestions from multiple perspectives. Incidents of brutally forced relocation took place in some localities，leading to heated public comments. Social media become the important platform for exposure of rural land conflicts. It is the focus of public opinions to properly handle the relationship between “farmers and land”. The key to this problem is to improve rule of law，provide smooth channel for expression of claims，and enhance publicity and guidance for public opinions.
