The excavation of erlitou site has made great achievements and has important development and utilization protection value. In recent years，Yanshi has established special protection agency，compiled protection planning scientifically，put emphasis on site protection display，and so on. But there are still several problems that need to be addressed in future work，such as the research foundation is not solid enough，legal protection needs to be improved，the institutional mechanism is inadequate，the utilization of capital is inefficiency，and initiating social conflicts and disputes.
