A total of 403 migrant children from three public primary schools in Wuhan were surveyed to explore the mediating effect of family function between the acculturation and psychological adaption. Results showed that the mean level of acculturation of migrant children was in the moderate level，and the mean level of acculturation to urban culture was higher than that to rural culture. The level of acculturation to urban culture had positive direct effect on self-esteem and life satisfaction，and had positive indirect effect on the same outcome variables via the mediating effect of family function perceived by migrant children. The level of acculturation to rural culture has positive direct effect on life satisfaction，and indirect effect via the mediating effect of family function on life satisfaction.
