The research illustrates the current status of Guangzhou's open economy development.Further, based on the analysis of the primal problems of the open economy development and the challenge and opportunity that were faced, the research establishes the target and tasks of the foreign trade strategy transformation of Guangzhou, and proposes five supporting measures, including promoting the quality of foreign investment utilization, transforming the development mode of foreign trade, implementing "Going abroad" strategy, strengthening the international regional cooperation, and optimizing the foreign trade development environment. <<
