With the sustained and healthy development of the China’s economic and social，national’s stability and positive view of leisure is gradually forming. The construction of city central area has pushed ahead. From the view of construction and development of Beijing Olympic Park，the construction of city central area shows the image of the city，carrying the window function，meeting the public demand for leisure，gathering industry. It is public’s leisure gathering place and city sightseeing experience place，which has great significance in upgrading the city leisure function and promoting the development of the city. The Beijing Olympic Park has experience in construction practice，but also has experienced confusion and problems. Through this case we can see the need for planning in multiple aspects and promoting co-ordination，in order to achieve better results in the construction of the city central leisure district.
