In the year of 2016，the conservation of historic city has been carried on in the context of urban planning in the 13th Five-Year Plan. Great achievements are made in the aspect of reappearance of traditional city scenes of inner city of Beijing，conservation & utilization of traditional culture-zone and development of preservation of cultural relics. Meanwhile，the paradox of conservation and development still exists，the legal system of preservation of cultural relics need to improve，more work should be done in the protection & development of the heritage. This report analyses the achievements and problems of the conservation of historic city of Beijing，and provides related suggestions.
