As the VIP-segment has always occupied about 70% of Macao’s gaming revenue，this article gives an introduction of the junket operation in Macao，including junket operators and reps，junket commission，and gaming credit issues. With the PRC as the dominating source of visitors to Macao，the VIP-segment has contributed to Macao’s world record in gaming revenue. As a result of the abundant business opportunities associated with these visitors，some mainland Chinese have been attracted to join the junket business. Since some mainland Chinese do not want to disclose their personal identity as engaging in gambling business，they might prefer to form joint ventures with local VIP-rooms.
