Arising out of the protests of the French public against proposed labour law reforms in the spring of 2016，Nuit Debout was essentially a resistance movement against the unreasonable institutions currently in force in France. The participants strongly criticized the problems that the French society is confronted with and tried to reexamine their causes in order to push institutional reforms. On the other hand，as a spontaneous social movement，Nuit Debout suffered from a number of sharp criticisms. The wide-spread influences that the Nuit Debout had once produced can be attributed to its profound social reasons，which has now lost its original impetus. However，as a social movement which was formed spontaneously and which consciously made self-examination of the political，economic and social institutions of western countries，the values that it left to us could not be ignored.
