Based on calculations，the Social Development Index（SDI）for Anhui Province is 0.35 in 2015，a slight increase over that of 2014，i.e.，0.348. All regions of Anhui have undergone changes in ranking as compared with 2014，with the most conspicuous change taking place in Tongling，which dropped to No. 5 from No. 1，a place that it had been occupying consecutively ever since 2011. Currently，Huangshan，Chizhou，and Wuhu are the top 3. Another significant change is the drop of Huainan to Bottom 3. Bozhou and Suzhou have been the bottom 2 cities for four years consecutively. The SDI for Hefei has increased from 0.393 in 2014 to 0.405 in 2015，still ranking the 7th. Ma’anshan has been constantly improving，rising to No. 4 from No. 8 of 2012.
