With the spread of network technologies，electronic business has made rapid development. In recent years，thanks to the top-down promotion of the Central Government and the active follow-up of local governments，Anhui has orderly carried out electronic business in its counties and cities by setting model counties（cities），and selecting 15 counties（cities）from the entire province on two occasions. Governments at all levels have provided strong support in terms of policies and funds. Rural electronic business has made positive social returns in both economic and social developments. Along with the development of electronic business，rural political，economic and cultural structures have also undergone profound changes as compared with the past，which are and will keep influencing rural social development in Anhui Province.
