With the rapid development of economy and urbanization in recent years，the development of some cities is facing some new problems. Such as population congestion，resource depletion，the increase of the gulf between the rich and the poor，the decline of the industry and the serious environment pollution……Theorists believe that this is essentially the problem of urban sustainable development. How to achieve the goal of sustainable development of city，the report suggests that should deal with two relations，namely the relations between man and nature，man and the city. In order to achieve our own development，city development and improve the ecological environment of harmony between the three，and it promotes them creating a virtuous cycle. According to this theory，this paper designs an index system of sustainable development，and it based on the characteristics of urban development in Sichuan，and evaluates the 18 cities in Sichuan. According to the evaluation results，this report summarizes the four models of urban development in Sichuan，namely，the high development and high ecological model，the high development and the ecological model，the development of and low ecological mode，the low development and low ecological mode.
