The year 2015 is a milestone in the history of China’s maritime rule of law，it has witnessed quite a few new breakthroughs and achievements in China’s oceans law.The draft of law on Exploration and Exploitation of Resources in Deep Seabed Areas is ready to be submitted to the Standing Committee of NPC.The State Basic Act on Ocean has made substantial progress.This paper attempts to put forward suggestions on the basic marine legislation and legal system in China on the basis of summarizing the experience of ocean legislation process since 2015.
