In 2015，the development of ocean society in was more emphasis on the overall，more concerned about not only the issue of major national interests，but the basic work，pay more attention to the role of policy guidelines，and strengthen the weak link of development.This year，the development of ocean society showed four distinctive new features：the development of different areas of ocean society was harmonious；ocean society as a whole which had a systematic development；safeguarding national interests was urgent；development was flexible in this period of social transition.Meanwhile，the development of ocean society had much problems in this year：sustainable development in all areas had short board；overall policy and specific practice were still out of touch；globalization has brought formidable challenges；ocean education was still inadequate.Therefore，the development of ocean society in future must be fully aware of the impact of globalization and the adjustment and perfection of the whole ocean social system，and strengthen the public awareness of the ocean and government executive power.
