In 2016，the income of the rural households maintained a rapid growth. The consumption structure of the rural households was optimized. The rural poverty population declined sharply. The per capita disposable income of rural residents was 12363 yuan，increased by 8.2% and 6.2% of nominal and real income，respectively. The per capita consumption expenditure of the rural households was 10130 yuan，up by 9.8% and 7.8% of nominal and real income，respectively. The Engel coefficient continuously decreased. The expenditures on transportation，communication，education，and recreation grew fast. With the implementation of the national poverty alleviation policy，the poverty population in all the regions declined.
