The paper analyzes different spatial forms including physical form，perceived form as well as spiritual form and connotation of historical buildings in universities. Meanwhile，the paper reviews the existence value and humanistic significance of historical building from the perspective of space theory and provides theoretical reference and suggestions for the protection and utilization of historical buildings in universities.
