This report reviews the history and progress of the internationalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Then，this report explores the relationship between the internationalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine and intellectual property protection from perspectives of Chinese herbal medicine，Chinese patent medicine and acupuncture，discusses the international intellectual property protection status and problems of Traditional Chinese Medicine knowledge，analyses domestic and foreign successful strategies and intellectual property protection systems，and put forward some suggestions on how to improve intellectual property protection for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
