海外中华传统文化教学面临的主要问题是如何在极为短暂的教学时间内帮助学习者真正跨越时空和心理上的距离,亲近、感受与理解历史久远、博大精深的学习内容。教师在海外中华传统文化教学中树立故事意识,认识和利用故事的隐喻性、经验性和趣味性特征,将故事融入课程与教学,围绕故事同学生展开交流与互动,引导学生通过对故事的省思领会学习内容,更为高效地达成教学目的。故事意识对教师提出了四方面的能力要求,分别是讲述故事的表达力、选择故事的甄别力、提炼故事的创造力与升华故事的引导力。
<<The principal contradiction in the overseas teaching of traditional Chinese culture lies in how to help learners to overcome the physical and psychological distance so that they could feel close to and understand the profound knowledge about Chinese culture with a long history. If teachers establish the awareness of story-telling in their teaching of traditional Chinese culture overseas,the learning objectives might be achieved more effectively. Stories,as an integration of metaphors,experiences and fun,can be incorporated into the teaching of the course. Thus,teachers can start discussion and interaction with students centering around various stories,guiding them to understand the learning materials through reflections on the stories. The story-telling awareness is composed of four specific qualities,including the ability to tell the story impressively,to choose the story critically,to refine the story creatively and to sublime the story exactly.
