In addition to the Tibet Autonomous Region in Northwest and Southwest Areas，the other nine provinces（or autonomous regions and municipalities）all have hospitals of different levels been ranked on the 2016 Hospital Competitiveness Ranking list in China. In different provinces，the competitive advantages and competition performance of different hospitals are also different. This report analyzes of northwest and southwest regions of the nine provinces，municipalities and autonomous regions of Northwest and Southwest China who are ranked in the 2016 China hospital competitiveness list，we reached the conclusion that hospitals of all levels in Northwest and Southwest China are weak in the comprehensive competitiveness among the seven regions in the country. In Northwest China，except for provincial capital cities，hospitals of other levels all perform weaker than the Southwest.
