The economic development in East China is located in the first place among the seven regions of the country，the development of medical and health care system can be treated as the model for the other regions. This paper analyzes deeply the ranking results of all the general hospitals in East China in a multi-dimensional way，and further understand the development of hospitals in East China. The analysis shows that the comprehensive competitiveness of the hospitals in East China is relatively strong，the distribution of the top medical resources is relatively concentrated，the distribution of medical resources in the prefecture-level cities is rather balanced，and less balanced in county-level cities.
