By comparing the location of Huazhong District in the Four Horizontal and Two Vertical list and the top 30 ranking of provincial hospitals of each province in central China，we reached the conclusions below，the comprehensive competitiveness of the hospitals in central China ranks second in the nation，and the quality of medical resources is not balanced in distribution among regions. In the central region，the distribution of high-quality medical resources is most balanced in Hunan，and the most uneven distribution is in Henan.
