This paper comprehensively evaluates the comprehensive competitiveness of hospitals in northeast China. From the regional competitiveness，Northeast ranks the sixth among the Seven Regions. From the provincial competitiveness，Liaoning is the strongest in Northeast China，Heilongjiang and Jilin rank in the middle back in the national ranking. Provincial city，prefecture-level and county-level hospitals are gradually balanced with the increase in the number of shortlisted institutions. In each province，quality medical resources concentrate in the provincial capital cities. A significant gap exists between the hospital competitiveness of Northeast area and the East，which ranks the first，the medical level of Northeast area is expected to be improved.
