养老机构在应对老龄化、提高老年人生活质量方面可以发挥重要的作用。北京市在发展养老机构方面进行了较多探索，并制定了有关促进养老机构社会化的政策措施。目前，北京市养老机构还存在供需结构性矛盾、区域分布不均、民办养老机构面临困境等问题，需要从明确公办养老机构的公共服务职能定位、建立专业化运行的社会养老服务模式、保障公平竞争等方面加以完善。

Nursing home institutions can play an important role in dealing with aging and improving the quality of life of the elderly. Beijing has carried out a variety of useful exploration and practice to promote the development of nursing home institutions. At present，the nursing home institutions of Beijing still have several problems such as the existing contradiction of the supply and demand structure，uneven regional distribution，private institutions facing difficulties and other issues. Countermeasures include clear positioning of public nursing home，the establishment of specialized and socialized nursing homes，and ensuring fair competition.
