Difficulties in withdrawal and consolidation and high relapse rate are the common problems faced by the drug rehabilitation work throughout the country. In recent years，the Government of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture has based itself on the actual drug situation in the prefecture，seized the opportunity of policy support from the state and the province，and innovatively established the “Green Home”— a large comprehensive drug rehabilitation base that takes community rehabilitation as the main method and compulsory isolation for drug treatment as the supplement，with such social functions as compulsory isolation，education and transformation，community rehabilitation，employment training，and repatriation and settlement，thereby successfully creating a new mode of and a new approach to the prevention and treatment of drug abuse.
