The year 2016 was a milestone in the history of cyberspace legislation in China：the adoption of the Cybersecurity Law has established a basic legal framework for cyberspace legislation in China. Generally speaking，in the cyberspace legislation in 2016，China had attached importance to responding to social demands，emphasized problem-orientation，focused on the regulation of new business patterns and especially on the crackdown on cyber crimes，which have arouse strong complaints from the people. In the future，China should adopt as soon as possible the relevant supporting administrative rules and regulations，so as to form a more complete system of cyberspace law. In the meantime，attention should be paid to encouraging industrial and technological development in the process of legislation in this field.
