Information technology plays a crucial role in the process of media convergence. In a certain sense，media convergence is the result of evolution and choice of information technology. The author systematically summarizes the key information technologies that promote media convergence and classifies them into three categories：underlying supportive communication technology，data acquisition and storage technology，and content presentation and interaction technology. Based on the optimistic outlook，the author discusses the “Central Kitchen” and “Cloud Platform” with a view to providing possible references for theoretical research and practical exploration of the development of media convergence. <<
