The government procurement for public services is an important part of social governance in China and it is a hot topic in recent years. This article is based on the overall grasp of the research in status，trend，and developmental knowledge promote，which responds from the reality of demand. Having 778 journal articles in government procurement for public services in China which included the CSSCI（extend）index，using the information visualization tool CiteSpace，quantitative analysis of the research status，basic knowledge，hot topics，author cooperation，and pointed out the short comings of current research as well as existing research approach in the future to provide the new direction of future practice and research.
