The question of female senior citizens is an important question to be faced in our efforts to build a harmonious society. On the one hand，this question，which manifests the core of the senior citizens question，contains not only the universality of the senior citizens question but also the particularity of the female senior citizens question. On the other hand，the female senior citizens question is a product of gender culture and subjected to the manifold influence of culture，system，concept and environment. At the present time when China has entered upon the period of an ageing society，the key to resolving the female senior citizens question is to set up a policy support system based on the gender perspective.
