In the current context of globalization and China’s transition，the Regulation on the Labor Protection of Women Workers which was adopted in 1988 has encountered challenges to its principles and suitability. To meet the needs of revising the legislation，the legislative agencies have been charged with the responsibility of drafting a revised version of the Guidelines on the Labor Protection of Women Workers and undertaking consultation with the public. This paper discusses experts’ suggestions on the revised version’s principles，sources，contexts of application，range of protection，reproductive protection，and other issues to be included.
