The rapid urbanization in China has increased environmental risks. How to avoid "Latin-Americanization" and reduce environmental and resource risks in the urbanization process in China has become a strategic issue that requires careful consideration. The development of livable cities should take into account the multiple key factors in urban development. At present,the development of indicators and pilots of easy living cities has just started in China. Some indicators are excessively complicated while necessary evaluation mechanism is still missing,unable to satisfy the overall requirements of China's urbanization process and countering eco-environmental deterioration. <<
