The chromic slag pollution in Qujing,Yunnan Province in August 2011 calls our attention to the seriousness of similar pollution and the insufficiency of innocuous treatment in China. Although the local government has been taking damage control measures after the accident, puzzles remain and the gaming among the government, business and public environmental rights continues.
