Firstly，This report briefly describes the development of the educational and research institutions and personnel of sociology in China；then it makes a systematical review on the progresses of sociological researches on following main topics：sociological theories and methodologies，changes in social structures and social stratification，grass-root social constructions in rural China，social organizations and social policies，and harmonious society issues；finally，based on this kind of review，it puts forward some suggestions on the future development of sociology in China.
