In this study,the responsibility that should be taken by different players in the pork supply chain for ensuring pork quality and safety was investigated from the perspective of pig farmers and pork consumers,using best worst scaling(BWS)and a mixed logit model. The results indicate that the players in descending order of responsibility for ensuring pork quality and safety were feed producers and suppliers,backyard farmers and large-scale pig farms,pork processing workshops and companies of and above designated size,slaughterhouses,supermarkets,farm produce markets,live pig transporters,and consumers. The responsibility that should be taken by feed producers and suppliers,backyard farmers and large-scale pig farms,and pork processing workshops and companies was above average,while that should be taken by slaughterhouses,live pig transporters,supermarkets,farm produce markets,and consumers was below average.
