Social intermediary organization is the mainstay of improving social and public services and promoting the development of market economy, and serves as a link between the government, enterprises and citizens. Over the recent years, social intermediary organizations have maintained a sustainable momentum, providing a variety of useful services for the government, enterprises and citizens. Nevertheless, social intermediary organizations have also encountered some problems. For instance, some social intermediary organizations violated the social morality and breached their duty by fraud, arbitrary charges, power rent-seeking, corruption, and etc. Hence, the credibility of the social intermediary organizations was ruined and negative influences were exerted upon the optimization of the allocation of social resources and the socialization reform of public services. This chapter introduces the latest development of the social intermediary organizations, discusses the issues the organizations have had and provides some proposals that are helpful to the regulation and administration of the social intermediary organizations.
