Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area is a place, which centers on both economic poverty and ecological poverty. This paper introduces the ecological environment and economic poverty in there. From these two dimensions, it analyzes the conditions and mechanisms of ecological poverty in these areas. In order to promote the ecological civilization, alleviate or eliminate ecological poverty, realize the economic prosperity and fulfill the social harmony, this paper puts forward some countermeasures, which include the development of ecological agriculture, ecological industry and ecological tourism, the construction of ecological compensation mechanism and the control of population growth. <<
