This paper has introspected the economic poverty and poverty alleviation policies for Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area firstly. Then, the author proposes that the crucial point for poverty alleviation and self-development capacity enhancement of Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area is to develop advantage industries by making good use of the resource endowment. And the characteristic agricultural industry and tourism industry are the best choices which good for poverty alleviation. In conclusion, it's a good suggestion to promote organic combination of the primary industry (such as the characteristic agricultural industry) and the tertiary industry (such as the tourism industry), because it is beneficial to develop environment friendly and inclusively in Wulingshan Contiguous Destitute Area. <<
