广州市政府在非物质文化遗产保护上采用“一区一品”模式。该模式中，非物质文化遗产存在“半民间化与合法化”“品牌化”“多主体化”“都市化与现代化”“旅游化与舞台化”“资源化”等特征。广州市政府通过自上而下地主导各类资源的整合，有效促进了非物质文化遗产与旅游经济的融合，增强了当地人的地方认同感，但亦导致了非物质文化遗产的调适与重构。强化当地人的话语权以及完善共营机制，将有利于非物质文化遗产的保护。
<<The government of Guangzhou forms “One District One Brand Activity” model to conserve the intangible cultural heritage. In this model，semi-folk transformation，legalization，branding，multi-agent transformation，urbanization，modernization，stagewise features，tourism，and resource utilization are the characteristics of the intangible cultural heritage. By leading various resources from top to bottom，，the government of Guangzhou effectively integrates the intangible cultural heritage with tourism，enhances the local identity，but causes adaption and reconstruction of the intangible cultural heritage. Strengthening the voice of local people and improving co-operative mechanism will be conducive to conservting the intangible cultural heritage.
