Because of more rural women less opportunity to migration as a livelihood strategy to respond to climate change，the women stay at home to take care of home and doing agriculture work. So climate change result to risk and vulnerability of agriculture，it influences more to women than men. This case study focused on crop production to show the strategies of adaptation in household and community level and make the linkage between gender and adaptation. This research investigate in two villages in Jianchuan county which have 3000 years history on agriculture. It shows that because of climate change，even the pad land or mountain land are short of the water and influence seriously to crop products. It also increases women’s labour related collect water to against drought. The research also shows that crop product structure change and good community government are very important strategies of adaption to climate change. In this process，women play the very important role，their agency contribute to community and family to adapted well. The paper also make suggestion to local government to raise the awareness of climate change and promote the good governance in community level to respond well to climate change in crop products.
