Based on the reality of its social-economic development，Shanxi Province continued its efforts to intensively combat corruption. Especially，it took measures to fight systematic and collective corruption by punishing both high- and low-level corrupted officials，eradicating the corrupted trees（officials），treating sick trees（officials），and correcting depraved trees（officials）. These measures purified the political ecosystem，rebuilt the public figure of the province，and have received acknowledgement and approval from the central government and the society.
