With the emergence of cyberspace, internet use has become an essential part of minors' daily life. By describing the most popular uses of the internet by minors, such as online chatting, online games, online communities, audio-visuals and microblogging, this report finds that minors display a number of characteristics in their use of the internet, such as the supremacy of recreation, increasing adult tendency, socialization of game roles, non-conventionality of community use, as well as de-authoritiveness and fragmentation of microblogging discourse.The study suggests that efforts should be made to guide the shift in minors' way of internet use, to purify the internet environment, and to build specific websites for minors.
