The development history for the management model and system construction of cultural volunteer service of National Museum of China can be divided into three stages：between 2002 and 2006，the model of the ‘open service and open mind’ was established；between 2007 and 2010，the transformation of ‘from improving individuals to improving the community’；since 2011，the development model of ‘from the human management to system management’. Under the new situation，the focus of the volunteer service works in National Museum of China should meet the new needs，improve to build a more perfect volunteer service platform and the volunteer team with international level.
